Action + Adventure Books for Valentine’s Day

Do you like romance but prefer books that aren't just about people falling in love and kissing? As big fans of fantasy, paranormal, and generally thrilling fiction, we can understand that. So, to make sure EVERYONE has a swoony book to read this Valentine's Day, we put together a list of romantic action + adventure books we're sure you'll very much enjoy.

The Winner's Curse by Marie Rutkoski
The slow burn romance in this political intrigue fantasy series is so stunning and painful that you'll probably be mad at us for recommending it as you read. (But it's worth it at the end, we promise!!!) ????

The Kiss of Deception by Mary E. Pearson
There's a lot of romance in this one but also a lot of butt-kicking, so if you're interested in girls who want to be free to fall in love whenever they choose but also girls who get things done, this is the series for you.

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
There's not one but THREE couples in this series that we would probably defend with our lives – just in case you're not sure how serious we are about this one.

Wires and Nerve by Marissa Meyer
So all of the cute cute couples from The Lunar Chronicles are back in this Iko-centric graphic novel but the best part is that IKO FINALLY GETS HER VERY OWN LOVE STORY. ????

Daughter of the Pirate King by Tricia Levenseller
Hi, did you know pirates are hot? Well, they are. We are the authority on this. Enjoy.

The Love Interest by Cale Dietrich
Y'know when you're a spy and you're supposed to be wooing some girl because it's your job but your competition is this really cute guy who just gets you? Yeah, espionage is tough. ????

The Traitor's Kiss by Erin Beaty
More espionage! But this time no one's really sure who's who and everyone lying to each other but the slow burn swoons are so good it's hard to be mad. ????

These Vicious Masks by Tarun Shanker & Kelly Zekas
Do you love Victorian England? What about X-Men? Add in some witty banter, a lot of drama, and a bit of kissing and you'll get These Vicious Masks, AKA the perfect Valentine.

What romantic books will you be reading this Valentine's Day? Let us know in the comments below!
