Ben Lattanzi (Tom Holland) is the boy next door to Mira and Francesca. Ben discovers what really happened that last year through notes Mira leaves him in the places they touched.

Mira Cillo (Cara Delevingne) is the complicated beauty who wants Ben to see her for who she really is, even after she’s gone. Mira protects her sangua—her blood—and that’s her sister, Francesca.

And then there’s Francesca Cillo (Alexandra Daddario), whose mystical secret is at the heart of the novel; a secret that has everything to do with her cousin, Connie.
