7 Royal Christmas Movies That Are Guaranteed to Put a Jingle in Your Bells
Crowns and the Christmas season are the perfect combination for these heartwarming and often hilarious romantic movies. Here are a few of my royal favorites.
Christmas at the Palace. Katie is at the castle to help the princess prepare for her Christmas ice-skating performance, not to fall in love with the king. But as their romance heats up off the ice, she’ll have to see if his people can accept a foreigner as their queen. A Royal Christmas. Prince Leopold of Cordinia brings home his American fiancé, Emily Taylor. His mother, Queen Isadora, is determined to get rid of the commoner and marry her son off to someone else. A Christmas Prince. Amber is a reporter and she goes undercover as the princess’s tutor to get a private scoop on the playboy prince. But the man she meets is nothing like the person portrayed in the press. Should she follow her heart or write her byline? A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding. Cultures collide when Amber and Prince Richard plan to tie the knot. Is the American girl ready to be a queen? A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby. If we’ve learned anything from William and Kate (and Harry and Megan), the only thing better than a royal wedding, is the birth of a royal baby. But before Queen Amber and King Richard can welcome their new addition, they have to contend with curses and try to renew a treaty with another kingdom. The Princess Switch. I hereby crown Vanessa Hudgens as the queen of Christmas movies (although, she could also be The Knight Before Christmas ;). A new spin on the Prince and the Pauper tale, a Duchess and a Baker switch places and threaten the impending royal marriage. The Princess Switch: Switched Again. If you didn’t think two characters played be Vanessa Hudgens was enough, now you get three! The Duchess and the Baker switch places again. Add a lookalike party girl named, Fiona, and the holiday just got more complicated and fun. If you enjoy royal characters and holiday romps, check out my latest!

A Royal Christmas Quandary by Samantha Hastings

When you spend Christmas in a castle, anything can happen. 1860. Lady Alexandrina Gailey is looking forward to a cozy holiday at Windsor Castle with her best friend, Princess Alice, and her long-time crush, Lord George Worthington. But Drina's plans are all but dashed when Alice's parents, Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, declare that Alice must choose one of two royal princes to become engaged to before Christmas. There's just one problem: George, a junior member of the Foreign Office, has accidentally misplaced one of the princes. Together, Drina and George scour the town of Windsor for the missing prince, desperately hoping to deliver him to the royal dinner party with the queen none the wiser. They might just need a royal Christmas miracle to pull it off.
