Who's ready for a COVER REVEAL?

Today we're sharing the cover for Girls Like Us! But instead of reading about how much we love this stunning illustrated cover (we do love it, a lot), we thought we'd let the author, Randi Pink, tell you a bit about the book and the cover instead! A note from Randi Pink: The spark of Girls Like Us has been in my heart since as far back as I can remember. But in the summer of 2018, that spark ignited. Girls Like Us is the story of four remarkable teenage girls navigating life, love, and the heavy cost of complex decisions. There are a few monumental moments in a book journey, and seeing the cover for the first time is one of them. When I first saw Laci Jordan‘s artwork, I saw Missippi, Izella, Sue, and Ola, all full of life and promise, just as they had been in my mind. It’s a surreal thing to see the characters you’ve spent months getting to know staring back at you in living color. But when I did, I thought, Girls Like Us is coming, and I’m here for it! Girls Like Us by Randi Pink

Girls with few choices have to make tough decisions on their own. Four teenage girls. Four different stories. What they all have in common is that they’re dealing with unplanned pregnancies. In rural Georgia, Izella is wise beyond her years, but burdened with the responsibility of her older sister, Ola, who has found out she’s pregnant. Their young neighbor, Missippi, is also pregnant, but doesn’t fully understand the extent of her predicament. When her father sends her to Chicago to give birth, she meets the final narrator, Susan, who is white and the daughter of an anti-choice senator. Randi Pink masterfully weaves four lives into a larger story – as timely as ever – about a woman’s right to choose her future. On Sale: October 29, 2019 Add Girls Like Us to your Goodreads shelves
